ASBESTOS AT UAA GOOSE LAKE CAMPUS

Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) is known to exist and used to exist in many of UAA buildings built prior to 1979. While ACM is removed from buildings immediately if it is discovered to be friable (uncontained), non-friable (contained) ACM remains in place until remodel or other construction projects necessitate its removal. Removal of ACM is accomplished by AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) trained contractors. At this time, no UAA employees are authorized to work with ACM within the course and scope of their employment. The following links provide information for all UAA employees that may need to work in close proximity to ACM.
